Below is the newly redesigned website for The Leeward Haleakalā Watershed Restoration Partnership (LHWRP). Since 2003 LHWRP, with a coalition of private and public landowners and supporting agencies, has been working to restore 43,175-acres of dryland forests on Haleakalā’s leeward flanks, from from Makawao through ‘Ulupalakua to Kaupō. Their redesigned site is a reflection of the natural landscape and one way they are continuing to work toward their goal of ensuring “that the unique and beautiful areas of Maui will continue to be protected for generations to come.”
The site is a fully mobile-responsive design and a customization of the Executive Pro theme from StudioPress. The home page design is based on a traditional “box-layout” set over a high-resolution background image, with a double navigation menu and features five panel images rather a slideshow. The client chose to have a rotating full-width slideshow on an inside page. The rest of the pages boast beautiful, large featured images at the top. The site also features social media integration and a paypal donation button. Please visit the site at lhwrp.org.
