Below is the new website designed for The Seitai Shinpo Foundation on Hawaii Island. Seitai Shinpo is a Japanese-style of acupuncture that focuses on structural alignment. The practice was developed by Daiichi Sorimachi, LAc. Sorimachi Sensei and Chieko Maekawa, Ph.D., D.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., started the foundation with the vision of creating a “Rainbow Bridge” that would bring the unique style of acupuncture from Japan to Hawaii and then spread throughout the rest of the world. The foundation’s goals are to carry on the tradition by teaching the practice of Seitai Shinpo, by providing a national certification process, and by providing assistance, on-going resources and support to new practitioners practicing the Seitai Shinpo technique.
We had developed the original website for the Seitai Shinpo Foundation in 2010. While the site was still nicely functional, it was developed before we began building all our sites in mobile responsive code, so there was an added benefit to updating the site by making it look great across all platforms and devices.
For the redesign, we started with an increasingly popular template with our clients, Workstation Pro from StudioPress, which allows us to easily place the navigation bar above the header and logo area. Its full-width layout provides the open feel Dr. Meakawa envisioned for the redesign. We took the warm gold from logo that the original site’s color scheme was based around, and added earthy greens for contrast. Large full-width featured images are highlighted on the home page and are optional on the inside pages. You can visit the site at SeitaiShinpoAcupuncture.com.
